Praise for Manhunt

Shaelove wrote a wonderful review at The Writer's Coffee Shop. If you haven't checked out this fabulous new website -- run, don't walk, to the Coffee Shop! Who knows, you might even be able to sit down and chat about your story with yours truly over a latte. ;)

The girls at The Backporch also did a very nice review of Manhunt. If you haven't checked out this great little blog yet, you don't know what you're missing! It is so much fun!

A few of my favorite reviews from Chapter 9:

o my, o my, this is absolutely amazing, such a gem of a story. wow this most definitely is probably your best pieces of work. How I love all of your writing. This should most definitely be in book form on the shelves of Barnes & Noble.. By: ELB02

So I am finally going to tell you what I think. This novel/book has kept my intrest almost to a point of frustration. It is something I wish I would have started when it was finished. It would have been something I would have not put down. I think there are still a few more turns in the road to not draw a conclusion. I cant wait until it is finished. By: mike

OMG more, more! I read it all in one sitting. PLEASE, PLEASE more! This is the best work I have read that has not been 'professionally published'. It is actually better than some books that I have read. Great job. By: Wrydha

I absolutely love your writing style: concise and to the point. And this story is just great. What a riveting idea for a story!! PLEASE keep it up!! By: Tima83

Feedback on Manhunt and Textnovel

I have gotten so much wonderful feedback on Manhunt. It is currently #5 in the contest and the #7 highest ranked story on the site! Thank you all for your wonderful support, it means so much to me! Please continue promoting it -- author's notes, Twitter, et cetera. The contest ends November 1st and until then anything can happen!

I have heard some complaints about the lag time from textnovel's slow server. I completely understand, and have contacted textnovel support, who has assured me that they are aware of the problem and that correcting it is a high priority. If you run into this issue in the future, please let me know.

Another complaint is the 500 word maximum per page forces you to click 'next' a lot (which when combined with the lag time loading can be frustrating). The site was originally designed for 'cell phone novels' where authors basically text message the novel in tiny, bite size pieces, thus the 'textnovel' name. Dorchester Publishing requested the 500 word per page maximum for contest entries in keeping with the site's premise and I must respect that.  Thank you for you understanding and undying support!
